The terms “cardboard display” and “cardboard display stand” are closely related and often used interchangeably in retail and marketing contexts. However, there can be a slight distinction between the two:
Cardboard Display
This term generally refers to any type of promotional display made of cardboard. It encompasses a wide range of styles and sizes, from small countertop displays to large floor displays. A cardboard display can be designed to show products, convey information, or advertise a brand or event. They are commonly found in stores, trade shows, and promotional events. Cardboard displays are favored for their cost-effectiveness, versatility, and ease of customization.
Cardboard Display Stand
This term is more specific and describes a type of cardboard display that is designed to stand on its own. It typically features a flat base with one or more shelves, hooks, or compartments to hold and present products. Cardboard display stands are used to showcase merchandise in a way that is easily accessible to customers, often at the point of purchase. They can range from small counter stands that hold brochures or small items to larger freestanding units that can accommodate a variety of products.
In essence, while all cardboard display stands are a form of cardboard display, not all cardboard displays are necessarily stands. Some cardboard displays may be designed to hang on walls, attach to shelves, or be integrated into other structures, and therefore wouldn’t be considered “stands.”
