When we talk about sports brands, what is the first one that comes to your mind? The first two sports brands I thought of are Nike and Adidas. Today I will introduce one of the client we have cooperated with Adidas. We once created the perfect sock display stand solution for them.
The Adidas Story
Adidas is a well-known sportswear brand in Germany, mainly producing sportswear and sports equipment. Adidas, named after its founder, Adi Dassler, started producing footwear in 1920 in Herzogenaurach, near Nuremberg. Registered as Adi Dassler adidas Sportschuhfabrik on 18th August, 1949. Adidas clothing and sneaker designs typically feature the three-stripes, as well as on its logo.
Adidas is divided into three different series: Sports performance series (three stripes logo); Sports traditional series (clover logo); Sports fashion series (ball with three stripes logo). The sports performance series is dedicated to the cause of popular sports, and its positioning is the popular sports trend. It adopts the ADI three-stripe logo and its price is easier for the public to accept. The sports traditional series is their classic series of Adidas, and its positioning is the retro classic trend, which is more fashionable and high-end than the sports performance series. The sports tradition series adopts the Adi clover logo (also the logo of Adi earlier), because most of the products launched in this series are limited products, so the price is more easily accepted by the middle and high income groups.
Now their main product lines include ball and track apparel, athletic shoes, yoga apparel, sports accessories (watches, eyewear, etc.), casual footwear, men’s fragrances and skincare, and more.
The Display Solution
When Adidas team approached us about producing displays for their socks in all kinds of sports shops. In order to display their high-quality socks in different directions, our design team chose double sided hook sock display stand with printing their logo and graphics on the other two sides.
They decided to focus on the handsome characters for the artwork instead of highlighting their Adidas logo like some other displays, they put their logo on both sides very small. After the completion of this display production, we shipped the display flat packed with one set into each carton in bulk, when their team received the displays, they can re-send it to their distributors or retailers directly, then their customers can set up and assembled the sock display stands with their socks products.
